We all figure he's a man of lust and violence(lol), but do you think it's ever possible for him to love?

I dont think he can feel love. But I think it could be something else. Thats neither love but close to i. Something of a Alucard thing.

Okay, just have to say, I love this question (my shipper side especially), but shipper logic aside I can still answer this.

Things to note:

• Hime has mysterious [Lima-syndrome] powers over everyone. They don't even need hearts for her to win them over. Let's list shall we? Ichigo, Ishida, (random other people, spirits, and shinigami on a list too long to be named), Grimmjow, Ulquiorra, Aizen...

• We don't actually really know what Shirosaki's like. We think we know but we know little enough that people can litterally interpret him this way or that without hardly anyone being in the slightest wrong. For all we know, when he's not spending his time attempting to take Ichigo over he could very well be thinking up frilly soliloquies for Hime while playing with that fluffy white kitten he asked for in the filler omake.

• The answer to this might also depend on how you interpret the 'love' he might or might not feel. And yes, for once I do also mean in that way you pervs.

• Hollows actually can feel love. Remember Sora? He still loved Hime after becoming a hollow, it was just twisted by his loneliness and jealousy of Tatsuki and Ichigo. And then Nel and her two fraccion, Dondochakka and Peshche- They make up a pretty loving family. One could even say Harribel was fond of her fraccion, considering she decided to avenge them. And if someone can prove to me that Starrk did not love Lillynette (in however way you want to see it, familial or whatever) then I'll find them a flying pig. It's not that Hollows can't love it's just that they have a harder time doing it because without their hearts it's not as easy for them to connect with people. It's also a lot easier for hollows of higher intelligence (as opposed to a regular hollow like Sora) and even more so for arrancar because, as Nel put it, by removing their masks they regained the ability to reason. Shiro seems to have been shaved off of the inhibitions which he had as Ichigo thus allowing him to run a sword through somebody and think nothing of it later, however, his reason is still there (And I won a bet against someone for this in chapter 349 because they were worried that Shiro would hurt Orihime and I said, "no way, he's instinctive, aggresive, and sadistic, but not evil per say. He'd never hurt Orihime." and...I technically wasn't wrong ). So, though they don't have the heart to connect with people (well, Shiro could always borrow Ichigo's I geuss. Some say that as a Vizard he still has half a heart.), they have the reason to realise who/what's important to them.

So I figure, yes, Shiro could grow to love Hime. He might not realise exactly what it is that he's feeling or it might end up being a twisted love but I think after the lust chapters it's pretty clear the guy must feel something for Hime, even if it's only Ichigo's inner feelings channelling through him.

There is also a lot of suspicion recently that Shiro and Ichigo are merging and/or switching roles. I feel that this would/will have a major effect on Shiro's relationship with the healer.

Now if you were asking me why Shiro might only love Hime, and Hime alone, not just the general question of CAN he love her, I would have to pull out an extra long, almost essay styled rant, filled with Links and fun stuffs. XD
